Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of Smart Solutions, Matt leads the strategic direction and overall performance of the business across the UK. With a background in the waste and recycling industry and extensive operational expertise, Matt brings a client-centric and service-led approach to leadership.
Since joining Smart in 2016, Matt has played a pivotal role in growing our Environmental Support Services division, rebranding and expanding its reach while embedding a focus on productivity, compliance, and customer service.
Promoted to CEO in 2024, Matt now oversees the company’s full portfolio, working closely with senior leaders to ensure sustainable growth and service excellence. His leadership is shaped by integrity, long-term thinking, and a commitment to delivering real value to both clients and communities.
Matt’s vison is to now continue to grow sustainably whilst driving forward customer service excellence as well as our social value aspirations to ensure we continue to be a leader in our field.
